August 19, Mogilev. About Br5.7 million has been allocated for the modernization of the dairy complex in the village of Kotsni, Mogilev region, BelTA learned from Anatoly Kapashilov, deputy
director for animal husbandry of the Vendorozh branch of RUE Mogilevenergo.
“There are two dairy complexes operating on the territory of our branch,” Anatoly Kapashilov noted. “Today, one of the facilities is being reconstructed, which the farm got in 2018 after the merger of the KSUP Borok-agro enterprise. Despite the fact that the complex was built relatively recently , in 2015,
it did not provide for a full production cycle from the birth of calves to the cultivation and production of dairy products.
At the time of the transfer of the complex to the farm, there were only two livestock buildings on its territory. This caused certain inconveniences: for example, newborn calves had to be transported for maintenance and rearing 20 km away to the neighboring ITC in Vendorozh. It was troublesome and costly for the branch, and stressful for the animals.
After reconstruction, five livestock buildings will appear on the territory of the complex in the village of Kotsni. Their commissioning will allow launching closed-type production, which will include all the main stages of animal care and rearing, including birth, feeding and introduction into the main herd.
According to the project, the complex includes two cowsheds, which will house a dairy herd, a dry cow and heifer workshop for 200 places, a calf dispensary for 200 places with separate boxes. The complex will also include a maternity ward with a milking shop for 160 heads, which will be equipped with a Parallel milking machine. The equipment will allow for a comprehensive accounting of
milk from each cow, identification of animals in the hall, systematization of physiological changes in their condition.
“Before the reconstruction, 528 cows were kept in the complex,” Anatoly Kapashilov said. “Repair work will be completed in October and will allow increasing the milking population by at least 120 animals, thanks to which, at the beginning of next year, the MTC will receive 2 tons of milk per day more: 8.6 tons to 10.6 tons - the economic effect is obvious and tangible."
The complex will be equipped with the latest machinery and equipment, for the purchase of which Br680 thousand has been allocated. A feeder, a tractor and a feed truck, milking equipment and milk cooling tanks have already been purchased to equip the milk block for milking. To care for the calves, pasteurizers and a milk taxi were purchased.
“Such equipment will greatly simplify manual labor,” concluded the deputy director for livestock production. “For example, earlier, in order to water a calf,
milk in buckets. Now, thanks to milk taxi technology, the process will be automated. If with a milk taxi 200 heads are served by a maximum of four calves, then without it - six.
