
June 22, MINSK. Belarusian enterprises can increase production volumes, so there are no prerequisites for a lack of food and hunger. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Vadim Shagoiko during a meeting of the BelTA project on the topic "The global economic crisis and food shortages", BelTA has learned.
“Enterprises can increase production volumes, so situations with empty shelves should not arise. We have resources for the production of MILK, MEAT and other food products. In addition, there are stocks in warehouses for settlement trade orders, taking into account possible fluctuations and increased demand for certain products "Besides, we are an export-oriented country. There are no prerequisites for a lack of food or hunger within the country. Entire services work for the benefit of this," said Vadim Shagoiko.
According to him, constant work is underway to expand the range. "Marketers of enterprises are on the alert, all services are working and trying to satisfy the demand of people as much as possible. We have different packaging for cereals - both 0.8 g and 0.9 g, for sour cream - from 250 ml to 500 ml. We try to adapt to every consumer, because we understand that everyone's families are different and their food needs are different too."
Speaking about exports and rising prices in Belarus, Vadim Shagoiko noted that the global economic situation affects this. "Economists calculate different indices, but it is too early to talk about specific figures. They change regardless of the factors that develop on the world market. volumes of in-kind indicators of price growth. Thus, we plan to attract foreign exchange earnings in two directions - due to volume and due to an increase in cost," he summed up.
