April 6, Minsk. There are no prerequisites for rush demand for either dairy or canned meat. This was stated during a round table "Satisfying consumer demand in the domestic market of Belarus. Price regulation" in the BelTA press center, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the Processing Industry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Maria Klimova.

According to Maria Klimova, positive dynamics of production is ensured. In February of this year, the growth rate of milk processing was 102.5%, butter production - 102.6%, fatty cheeses - 106%, including hard and semi-hard cheeses - 105%, soft cheeses - 113%, whole milk products - 105 .2%, cottage cheese - 106.5%. "Dairy canned food has been in high demand over the past two months. I want to assure you that there are enough such products in warehouses. Stocks reach more than 40% of the monthly demand of the domestic market, while we produce 4.5 times more than we consume. Prerequisites for rush demand and there are no panic purchases for either dairy or canned meat," the deputy head said.

There is also an increase in production of meat products. In February, the meat processing plants of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food processed 106.3% of livestock compared to last year. The growth rate of meat production was 105%, including a significant increase in beef (111.6%), sausages (104.8%), semi-finished meat products (122%) and canned meat (120%).
