As noted in the ministry, the level of self-sufficiency of the country increases from year to year and amounts to 134.9% for meat, 256% for MILK. Per capita production of meat exceeds its average per capita consumption by 38.4%, milk and dairy products - by 3.4 times.

In January-December 2021, milk processing organizations of the system of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food provided a 100.9% growth rate of milk processing (6.9 million tons of milk were processed). The growth rate of production of fatty cheeses in physical volume compared to the corresponding period of last year amounted to 101.6% (produced 272.5 thousand tons), whole milk products - 100.8% (1719.9 thousand tons), whole milk powder - 157, 6% (37.3 thousand tons), dry whey - 104.2% (126.9 thousand tons).

At the meat processing plants of the system of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food for January-December 2021, the growth rate of livestock processing amounted to 100.8% compared to the corresponding period last year (547.1 thousand tons of livestock were processed). The growth rate of beef production amounted to 105.4% (produced 184.7 thousand tons), sausages - 107.7% (224.7 thousand tons), meat semi-finished products - 121.6% (81.8 thousand tons) .
