Ministry of Agriculture and Food: more than 90% of farmers' products are concentrated in crop production

February 10, MINSK. Almost 3.2 thousand farms work in the agricultural sector of the country. More than 90% of their products are concentrated in crop production, BelTA informs with reference to the official TELEGRAM channel of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

"Today, there are almost 3.2 thousand peasant (farmer) households engaged in agricultural activities in the country," the ministry noted. "Their niche is concentrated in crop production, which accounts for more than 90% of all their products. the main types of farm products in 2021 amounted to 3.5% in the total production of grain, 8.5% of potatoes, 21.2% of vegetables, and about 1% of MILK and MEAT.

To further increase the contribution of farming to the results of the agrarian industry, measures are being taken at the state level to create favorable conditions for their development. Among them are the creation of infrastructure, the expansion of the production base and land use, and other activities.
