MINSK . Construction, information, and communications retain their leadership in terms of gross value added growth, the press service of the Ministry of Economy told BELTA.
As Belstat previously reported, the GDP growth rate for the first seven months of the year amounted to 101.3%.
"A slight slowdown in the manufacturing sectors is due to a contraction in our main partner, the Russian Federation. At the same time, since March, there has been an increase in the
EXPORT of goods and services compared to the same period last year. Deliveries to distant countries continue to increase," the Ministry of Economy said.
As a result, a decrease in inventories is noted: as of August 1, 2025, their level has decreased by 2.5 percentage points compared to July 1.
The slowdown in the dynamics in agriculture (the rate of 87.3%) is due to a significant shift in the timing of the harvest
. At the same time, growth is ensured in livestock farming.
The production of MILK and eggs has increased. Animal productivity in agricultural organizations is growing.
Construction (110.2%) and information and communications (104.2%) retain their leadership in terms of contribution and growth rates of gross value added.
Over 2.1 million square meters of housing were commissioned in the first seven months of the year, representing a 110.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
The growth in the

Retail turnover increased by 8.6% from January to July.
Investment in fixed assets continued to grow ahead of schedule, at 13.6%, according to the January-July results. This was driven by enterprises' focus on technological development and modernization: spending on machinery and equipment increased by 19%.
The stable
economy is supporting household income growth, up 10.2% in the first half of the year.
