Ivatsevichy region occupies a special place on the economic map of the country. In addition to the regional center, its structure includes the city of Kossovo, the urban settlement of Telekhany, 15 agro-towns and dozens of villages. We talk about the wealth of the region, its development and achievements with the chairman of the district executive committee Alexander Gritsuk.

- First of all, our region is rich and famous for hardworking people who know how to competently manage natural resources. Half of the region's territory is occupied by forests, so it is no coincidence that the woodworking industry is the most developed. Among the best enterprises in this market is JSC "Ivatsevichdrev" - the holding's management company, the furniture company "Polypol Mebel Bel" LLC, which is part of the European group of companies POLIPOL. These enterprises are the leading exporters of the region.

Woodworking enterprises ship products to 14 countries - Austria, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, CHINA , Latvia, Poland, RUSSIA, Serbia, Ukraine, France. The basis of exports is timber, chipboard, wooden products, and furniture.

Our other enterprises also occupy unique niches in the economy. JSC "D-Embrace" processes waterfowl feathers and produces feather-down products. OJSC "Domanovsky PTK" produces export-oriented products of sodium silicate, which is in demand abroad. The seeds of corn hybrids, which are not inferior to world analogues, are produced by the Ivatsevichi corn calibration plant.

Leading positions in the region are held by our construction organizations and consumer cooperatives, which provide services that are competitive in price and quality.

The well-coordinated and purposeful work of the enterprises made it possible in the first half of 2021 to fulfill all the targets and tasks brought to the district.

- Alexander Borisovich, how do you assess the potential of the agricultural sector of the region, its contribution to the creation of the country's food security?

“Our farmers are well aware that a summer day feeds the year. The farms have completed the harvesting of grain, and fodder is being harvested. And ahead - autumn - eight works. All efforts are aimed at increasing the production of both crop and livestock products, but first of all, this is MILK . In recent years, the district has been steadily adding an average of 200 kilograms of milk per cow, and this year the task is to reach the six thousand mark. We are pleased with the results of work with the quality of milk: the grade "extra" and the highest we rent more than 93%.

We continue to develop the material and technical base of the agro-industrial complex. Every year we purchase new high-performance agricultural machinery. In recent years, new dairy complexes have been built, reconstructed and put into operation in open joint-stock companies Ivatsevichiagrotechservis, Telekhany-agro, Svyataya Volya, Kvasevichi, Gortol, Pobeda, Michurinsk, SPU " Domanovo". The modernization of the industry continues.

- The dreams of most people are similar: the HEALTH of relatives, well-being in the family, good housing, a decent salary and a good rest after a hard day's work. How comfortable is the social environment for a person? Is housing being built?

“Our area is convenient and comfortable for people. Attractive conditions for physical culture and sports have been created. There is a swimming pool and an Ice Arena, a stadium and a modern skate area, which are in demand among young people.

A district hospital equipped with modern medical equipment is at the service of the population.

We are investing a lot of money in the repair of educational and cultural institutions. We continue to build housing. This year we are planning to put into operation three multi-apartment residential buildings in the town of Ivatsevichi and the settlement Telekhany. More than 10 thousand sq. m. are put into operation every year. m of individual housing, and this is about 75 houses. We do not disregard the development and maintenance of infrastructure.

– What is the tourism potential of the Ivatsevichi region? What do you show your guests and close friends without fail?

- It is difficult to imagine the area without the Puslovsky Palace (it is also called Kossovsky). This unique architectural monument of the first half of the 19th century is especially popular with visitors. The reconstruction of the palace continues, but exhibition halls are open and open for tourists, a cafe and a hotel are functioning.

The tourism potential of the region is huge. These are the Merechevshchina tract, where the estate of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, a hero of many countries, the Khovanshchina Memorial of Partisan Glory - the "living" history of the war years, the famous Oginsky Canal and the Vygonoshchanskoye landscape reserve, the largest Vygonoshchanskoye lake in the region and the deepest - Sominskoye, are recreated .
