Minsk . The potential sales of innovative products are quite wide: in addition to Belarus, these are the CIS countries and Europe, where more and more farmers prefer to engage in environmentally friendly farming, the important role of humates in which
scientists have proven more than half a century ago. Vladimir Gunko, Director of OJSC TBZ Lyakhovichsky, told the Economy of Belarus magazine about this.
A well-known leader in the production of fuel briquettes, OJSC TBZ Lyakhovichsky, in April of this year, together with Torfyanye Humates Trading House LLC, created the Gumat Rost partnership to develop and improve humic preparations that are obtained from peat without the use of chemicals. 50 tons of environmentally friendly fertilizers have already been sold, applications are being drawn up for
2025, and feed additives and biopreservatives are being tested.
"Humic preparations are successfully used in countries with a developed agricultural sector for growing environmentally friendly products," Vladimir Gunko,
Director of OJSC "TBZ Lyakhovichsky," presents the new product. "They increase crop yields and are absolutely safe. In April, we launched a pilot plant, choosing the most environmentally friendly method of obtaining fertilizers, which, by the way, do not require any additional costs for application at any stage of growth of cultivated crops. They can be used by soaking seeds or other planting material, watering under the root and foliar treatment.
The range of OJSC "TBZ Lyakhovichsky" has been expanded to include such a fertilizer - "Humate Rost". The key feature of its production technology is cavitation hydrodynamic treatment of lowland peat with a high degree of decomposition (over 30%). This is a non-chemical process for isolating a concentrated solution of humic and fulvic acids.
The drug has successfully passed tests at the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, as well as in production conditions, confirming its biological effectiveness. Natural biologically active substances and microelements of "Gumat Rost" accelerate plant development, improve their root system and increase resistance to stress factors of the external environment, such as drought, frost and diseases.
In addition to the environmentally friendly production method, the innovative preparation contains an optimal concentration of humic substances and microelements and is compatible with other fertilizers and protective agents.
In addition, the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Animal Husbandry has completed successful tests of the feed additive "Gumat Rost F" in the menu of dairy cows, young
cattle and broiler chickens.
"The daily addition of Gumat Rost F to the dairy cows' diet contributed to an additional 3.6 percent fat content from each 1.8 kg of
milk over the entire study period. The average somatic cell count in all samples corresponded to the extra grade," Vladimir Gunko clarifies.
The economic effect has also been calculated. The inclusion of the Gumat Rost F feed additive (0.12 ml per 1 kg of weight) increased the cost of the animals' daily diet by 5%, and the additional
milk obtained over 98 days of the study was estimated at Br176.4. The additional profit per
animal was Br142.92. In other words, one
ruble of additional costs brought Br3.3 in income.
And literally now another new product, the Gumat Rost K feed preservative, is being tested in the field - its effect is being tested on green fodder placed in a trench and on flattened corn grain in a sleeve.
The study of the positive effect of the preservative is planned to be completed in May 2025.
