Lukashenka Demands Additional Mobilization for Harvesting Campaign

August 5, Postavy district. President of Belarus ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO demands additional mobilization for the harvesting campaign. He stated this during a visit to the Postavy district of the Vitebsk region, BelTA has learned.

"We need to mobilize. Don't wait for the grain to dry out on the field. The main thing is that there are no losses," the HEAD of state said.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that it is urgent to start harvesting half of the areas of cereal grains, paying special attention to the areas with soft glacier and problematic crops.

At the same time, it is necessary to finally complete the harvesting of rapeseed. In general, mass cleaning should be completed by the end of August. Alexander Lukashenko also reminded about the transfer of equipment to help with cleaning, where necessary.

At the same time, the President demanded to ensure iron discipline, emphasizing the relationship of effective work with ensuring stability, prosperity, including peace. "The war begins when we lose our sense of smell and stop working," he stressed.

In the same regard, the head of state warned against the inadmissibility of additions: "Why lie? We need to be honest with each other."

Alexander Lukashenko noted that everything must be done strictly according to technology and on time, then there will be a result. The same applies to the expansion of crops of winter barley, to which the President has recently paid great attention. He also touched on this topic this time.

The head of state visited the Volokhi dairy complex of Khotily-Agro OJSC. The complex was recently reconstructed, it was put into operation in December 2020. In 2021, the gross MILK yield amounted to 5761 tons with a milk yield per cow of 9475 kg. In January-July 2022, the gross milk yield was 4456 tons with a milk yield per cow of 5233 kg (plus 2029 kg by 2021).

A lot of things at this facility were done using the economic method, due to a competent and economic approach, funds were saved, and as a result, the enterprise shows financial solvency and provides high milk yields. "This is a good complex. And it's good that you built it this way," the President assessed the results, addressing the head of the economy, Vyacheslav Krishtafovich.
