ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO, 26 August,
MINSK .
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko demands to simplify certain ill-considered aspects of trade organization, including in the sphere of digitalization. The
HEAD of state stated this at a meeting on the efficiency of the system of trade services for the population on the scale of Belarus, a BELTA correspondent reports. "Among the latest examples of ill-considered decisions, I will name the receipt of electronic digital signatures and marking of goods with special marks and signs, which for a small shop with three shelves is a whole quest. You, those present at the table, especially the organizers of trade, do you understand what you are offering in the village, to these shops?" the head of state said."In any matter, you can reach the point of absurdity, falling into an administrative frenzy. A tribute to fashion - senseless digitalization, for example, accounting and sales of dairy products, caused a storm of indignation of both buyers and sellers (up to dismissal) in all regions," the Belarusian leader noted. Alexander Lukashenko instructed the government to return to this issue once again and simplify everything reasonably as soon as possible. And if necessary, to create a special order for the village.
"Baba Dunya in the village needs
MILK ,
MEAT and a piece of bread, and not digitalization," Alexander Lukashenko figuratively said about
the demands of the rural population for trade services.
Commenting on this topic to journalists following the meeting, the head of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Artur Karpovich noted that the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade is responsible for this issue. According to the minister, time is needed for everything to be built and work like
clockwork in this case . "I don't think we will be able to abandon this topic. Because traceability of goods is, among other things, the safety of our population. This is preventing the sale of unaccounted for, counterfeit goods. This is also a layer of work," Artur Karpovich emphasized.
Answering a question from a BELTA correspondent about how the head of state's instruction to simplify trade digitalization will be implemented, the head of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade expressed confidence that the relevant instruction will reach the Ministry of Taxes and Duties. "Experienced people will set all priorities and choose the best option," he concluded.
