Lukashenka on warehouse stocks: you have to go to other countries, you can’t sit in one or two markets

During the meeting, Alexander Lukashenko inquired about the availability of stocks at the enterprises. According to the President, the current situation worries him and he wants to understand how serious this issue is.

Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko noted that there is a problem with the sale of certain types of dairy products. There are almost $400 million worth of products in warehouses . According to him, this situation is primarily due to the price factor in foreign markets, as well as productivity growth in the main market - in RUSSIA.

“But experts say that this is not tragic, the phenomenon is temporary: the price in the Chinese and Asian markets in general has begun to grow. In general, we are working on changing our strategy for the development of the dairy and MILK processing industry,” Roman Golovchenko said.

The HEAD of state stressed that one should not focus on one or two markets, one should also go to other countries. "Don't forget that the world is starving. And the last money of any state will be spent on feeding people. Recently, Leonid Konstantinovich Zayats (Deputy Prime Minister. - Approx. BelTA) came from Zimbabwe, with whom we have good relations. How much do they consume milk per person per year?" the President asked.

"Eight kilograms," said Leonid Zayats.

"Eight kilos per person! And us?" - asked the head of state.

"Three hundred and fifty," the vice-premier cited the statistics.

"They have nothing to feed their children. And I promised that we (this is not charity) will help them. I'm what: we will not only wait until the prices of the neighbors rise, this is understandable, but we need to go to other markets. We need to occupy these markets, and they will be happy to cooperate with us," Alexander Lukashenko is convinced. "We went to Zimbabwe - today other countries are already offering them something. They say: "No, we will work primarily with Belarusians, because they have done everything in one for a year so that we fed the people with bread. "They did not have bread. Our equipment, technologies, people went and showed. At the very least, they provided themselves with bread for a year. Now they need milk. So dried this milk - load it, take it there ".

At the same time, the President believes, it is necessary not only to EXPORT milk powder , but to build small factories for its processing in other countries and produce other types of dairy products . "We need to go to other markets, we can't sit on one or two markets today," he stressed.

“According to the same scheme, a project to create such a production in CHINA is now in its final stage. This is an absolutely correct strategy. The only thing is that the economy does not allow the creation of such production everywhere. us in the Russian market, increase sales margins and go where we are competitive in terms of price in terms of dairy products production there," said Roman Golovchenko.
