Lukashenko on continuing the modernization of facilities in the agro-industrial complex: we need not farms, but dairy complexes

September 22, Soligorsk. The modernization of livestock facilities must be continued, and in the coming years, 10 dairy complexes should be built or reconstructed in each region. President of Belarus ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO stated this at the plenary session of the republican seminar-meeting on the development of livestock farming, BELTA correspondent reports.
The HEAD of state emphasized that enormous investments have been made in modernizing the industry . Half of all dairy farms (1600) are equipped with the most modern technologies, more than 65% of the dairy herd is located there and more than 70% of the MILK is produced.
“Consequently, we will bring the rest to this level, no matter how much they resist. The modernization of livestock breeding facilities must continue. For these purposes, a Decree on the construction (reconstruction) of 10 dairy complexes in each region in 2023-2024 was adopted,” - ordered by the head of state.
However, it is not enough to build a good building and install the latest equipment, he is convinced. Former farms should become modern dairy complexes. The chairmen of the regional executive committees will be personally responsible for the implementation of these projects.
