June 14, Volkovysk. During a visit to Bellakt OJSC, Belarusian President
ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO was briefed on plans to build an additional facility to produce dry baby food. This
product is in high demand not only in Belarus but also abroad, BELTA reports.
The new facility is expected to be built using a variety of sources. Almost half of this funding
comes from a loan from the Development Bank of Belarus. The remainder comes from the Republican Centralized Innovation Fund, the Innovation Fund of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, and 13% from the company's own funds.
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that such products, especially baby
food , will always be in demand. For example, many countries in Africa are interested in them.
Regarding loans for the creation of new production, the President warned that subsequent repayment is a mandatory condition. "Wherever you borrow—from the Development Bank, somewhere else—you have to pay
it back. If there is a market and it is profitable, you will repay everything you borrow," the
HEAD of state said.
"We won't just talk about this project; we'll support it," the Belarusian leader emphasized.
He ordered the development of a feasibility study for the project without delay or red tape. "If necessary, we'll build it," the head of state said.
The project's implementation will allow for an additional 61,000 tons of
MILK to be processed annually, doubling the production of powdered infant formula that meets international standards to 15,000 tons, and expanding exports to countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
