Lukashenko: Belarus is determined to develop economic cooperation with Vietnam

The President noted that Vietnam has gone through very difficult times in the past century. Then we were together. We fought together, we helped Vietnam, - recalled the HEAD of state. - And this is our foundation, this is our historical memory in the relationship between the two states. Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Vietnam were established on January 24, 1992. This year the countries are celebrating their 30th anniversary.

Belarus and Vietnam are constantly developing political dialogue. The exchange of visits at the highest and high levels has been established between the states. Interaction in international organizations is successfully developing.

In 2021, the trade turnover between Belarus and Vietnam amounted to more than $200 million. Belarus exported potash fertilizers, livestock products, instrumentation products, medicines and cosmetics. Rubber, nuts, fish fillets, integrated circuits, propylene polymers, and canned foods were purchased in Vietnam.

Vietnam has an assembly plant for MAZ trucks. Deliveries of special tractors "Belarus" for work in rice fields, BELAZ mining equipment are being worked out. There are agreements between the countries on the construction of an enterprise for the production of MILK and dairy products.
