November 8, Brest. A large livestock complex was opened today in the Kobrin district, BELTA reports.
Work at JSC Radonezhskoye began in 2022. Specialists built two box-type cowsheds with a capacity of 480 heads each, as well as a milking and dairy unit with a mini-boiler room. More than Br11 million was invested in the livestock complex.First Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Valentin Zaychuk emphasized that agriculture occupies a significant place in the economy of the southwestern region. The main share falls on MEAT and dairy production. "We fully meet our needs for livestock products, and also supply significant volumes of products for EXPORT . Brest region ranks first in the republic in MILK production, cattle breeding . Our region is also a leader in Belarus in the export of agricultural products and food products," Valentin Zaychuk emphasized.
According to the first deputy chairman of the regional executive committee, such results were achieved primarily due to systematic work on technical and technological renewal of agricultural production. "There are only 540 dairy farms in the region, of which 382 farms are equipped with milking parlors. The construction and reconstruction that took place allowed for an increase in the number of cows this year by more than 3.5 thousand heads, and the gross production of milk increased," said Valentin Zaychuk.
In the Brest region, construction and reconstruction work is underway at 134 livestock facilities. Including 68, financing is carried out with state support.
