November 7, Brest. A large dairy complex is being built in the Zhabinkovsky district, Chairman of the Zhabinkovsky District Executive Committee Andrei Kuzmich told a BELTA correspondent.
A livestock complex is being built in the village of Podlesye on the territory of OJSC Khmelevo. Specialists have already built three new calf barns to house replacement young stock, as well as a dispensary for calves. Currently, work is being carried out in two barns and a milking block. Upon completion of the facility, the farm will have a modern closed-cycle dairy complex.“The work is being carried out with the support of the state within the framework of government decree No. 405, the farm is partially investing its own funds. We plan to complete construction by the end of 2023. In the Zhabinkovsky district this will be the first complex in which the entire cycle will be completely closed - from raising calves to highly productive cows" , - noted Andrey Kuzmich.
Each barn is designed for 880 dairy cows. These spacious buildings are 132 m long. Inside, an automatic delta-scraper manure removal system will be installed, as well as ventilation and water heating systems. Such comfortable conditions will allow you to increase MILK yield and obtain higher quality milk . The dairy complex in Podlesye will become the largest in the Zhabinkovsky district. About 2.5 thousand heads of livestock will be housed there.
“In each farm, we have developed a plan for the construction of livestock facilities for the near future. Somewhere it will be necessary to build dispensaries, somewhere - calf barns, cowsheds. We are carrying out the instructions of the HEAD of state to move away from the old farms and transfer all livestock to modern dairy farms. -commodity complexes,” said the chairman of the district executive committee. In particular, OJSC Mateevichi is building two calf barns, and OJSC Rakitnitsa plans to begin construction of two cowsheds and a milking unit next year.
In general, there are 29 thousand heads of cattle on the farms of the Zhabinkovsky district . Due to the construction of dairy complexes in the region, they plan to increase the milking herd.
