June 10, Vitebsk. The results of work under Decree No. 70 "On the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Vitebsk region" are monitored monthly in the context of each integrated structure. This was announced during today's working visit to the Vitebsk region by Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Ivan Krupko, answering a question from a BelTA correspondent.

The main purpose of the decree on the development of the Vitebsk region was to create conditions for the effective operation of both the agro-industrial complex of the region as a whole and individually for each agricultural enterprise included in agricultural clusters. “Based on the results of 9 months, the results in crop and livestock production will already be visible. Based on these indicators, we will be able to say which of the integrated structures worked better, and then talk about whether such approaches can be multiplied and extended to other areas. The first year of the implementation of the decree involves the most intense work, and later we will see what the agro-industrial complex of the Vitebsk region will give. We monthly monitor the results for each integrated structure and individual enterprises. If we achieve the goal set by the decree, then agricultural enterprises will develop and people will receive a decent salary, "

Today the minister visited the enterprises of the Vitebsk integrated structure, which includes 7 districts and 19 farms. He saw that not all enterprises can cope with the volume of production in crop and livestock production, which would allow increasing the amount of revenue. He noted that it is necessary to decide how each enterprise can receive revenue in order to load processing enterprises, increase their revenue from the sale of finished products and start paying off accounts payable.

"The purpose of the trip is to see how the structures are set up to work, what kind of interaction is established between the district leadership and processing enterprises, how the vertical of such cooperation is built and what it gives. Today I see that clear approaches have been made to crop production, there is a certain positive trend of investing in the products of this sector of the economy If we get here the volumes of marketable products and the volumes of fodder, we will be able to increase the volume of production in animal husbandry," the minister stressed.

He also added that parallel construction of farms and a new loudspeaker is underway in the Vitebsk agrocluster. The reconstruction of two pig farms is also underway, where young stock feedlots are being created. If earlier they received up to 1.2 thousand tons of meat here, then after the renovation both complexes will be able to produce almost 15 thousand tons of pork. "Today we need to work on costs and on raising the level of management and economy in each agricultural enterprise," the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food said.

At a meeting with the heads of agricultural enterprises and JSC "Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant" Ivan Krupko also discussed the creation of his own raw material base, the supply of meat and milk from the enterprises that are part of the cluster, and their financial situation. The minister drew attention to the fact that every penny spent should be counted and the benefit from investments should be calculated. If something does not generate income in the near future, then forces should be redirected to more promising projects. And only after the creation of a financial airbag to take on a large-scale reconstruction or construction.
