July 20, Mogilev. At a meeting of the board of the State Control Committee of the Mogilev region, the results of monitoring the state and development of the agro-industrial complex of the Klimovichi district were considered. This was reported to BelTA in the department.
It was noted that the Klimovichi district executive committee and its department of agriculture are taking measures to increase agricultural production and improve the efficiency of the district's agro-industrial complex. At the same time, they are insufficient: in 2020, the district did not fulfill seven out of nine indicators brought up by the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee. Thus, compared to the previous year, indicators for the sale of milk and livestock for slaughter, the average milk yield per cow, the average daily weight gain of cattle and pigs, the production (growing) of livestock, rapeseed oil seeds and potatoes have decreased. For some indicators, the negative trend continues in the current year.
In addition, the instructions of the head of state on ensuring the efficient operation of modern dairy farms are not being fulfilled in the region. None of the ten such farms managed to achieve a milk yield of 7,000 kg last year. The main reasons for low production rates in the agro-industrial complex of the district, along with objective factors (primarily weather) are violations of technological regulations for the cultivation of crops and livestock, non-compliance with veterinary and sanitary standards at livestock facilities, failure by the management of agricultural enterprises to take measures to increase the attractiveness of work in the agricultural sector, shortage of qualified personnel.
The Board of the State Control Committee submitted proposals to the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee and the Klimovichi District Executive Committee to improve the situation in the agrarian sector of the region. Their implementation is under control.
