The Deputy Chairman of Belstat noted that the equipment and electronics produced in Belarus works on all continents of the globe. In the production of heavy vehicles, tractors, potash fertilizers, the country is among the world's leading producers. National dairy brands are widely known far beyond the borders of the republic. The innovative achievements of independent Belarus are tangible: from the introduction of the production of electric buses, robotic mining equipment, new generation medicines and high-precision equipment to the construction of the first Belarusian nuclear power plant. According to him, Belarusian enterprises receive every fifth ruble of revenue from the sale of innovative products.

“In the world, we rank 84th in terms of territory and 97th in terms of population. Among the CIS countries, we rank sixth in terms of territory and seventh in terms of population. We are not such a small country. "Belarus is one of the leading countries in the export of potash fertilizers. Here we are third. In dairy products in 2021, we were ninth. In strawberries, we are in 19th place. In addition, we are in the top 20 exporters of rapeseed," - said Timofey Zhigarev. Belarus is also consistently among the top 20 world exporters of tractors, and in 2021, among all countries of the world, it ranked 5th in the export of flax and linen fabrics and 8th in the export of rapeseed oil.

According to the Deputy Chairman of Belstat, such indicators are due to the fact that Belarus has a fairly strong agriculture . “It is not for nothing that the HEAD of state pays so much attention to this area, despite the fact that he was criticized. But he set the right goals and objectives for the development and support of agriculture,” he is convinced.

Belarus belongs to the countries with self-sufficient agricultural production and fully provides its domestic needs with basic foodstuffs. "The production volumes of potatoes and vegetables fully provide the required level of consumption within the country - for MILK, more than 2.5 times higher than the required level, for MEAT and eggs - 1.3 times higher, which also allows maintaining the country's export potential in the food market" - concluded the representative of Belstat.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), for many years Belarus has consistently been among the top five in the world production of flax fiber, rye, triticale, in the top ten - in the gross harvest of cranberries, in the top twenty - in the gross harvest of SUGAR beet, rapeseed, potatoes, oats, strawberries.

The project was created at the expense of targeted collection for the production of national content.
