April 9, MINSK . A random inspection of the limited liability company "Santa Retail" is being conducted on compliance with legislation in the field of trade, public catering, consumer protection, advertising, prices and pricing. What it showed, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.

The inspection has already covered retail facilities in the cities of Baranovichi, Bereza, Brest, Vitebsk , Grodno, Ivatsevichi, Kobrin, Minsk, Tolochin, Soligorsk, Rechitsa, Gomel and in the Gomel region.

Violations of trade were found in almost every facility (77%). In 33% of the inspected facilities, non-compliance with the list of goods that must be available for sale was revealed, including starch, white cabbage, cucumbers, fresh apples, potatoes were not on sale . Also, seven retail outlets were found to be selling expired goods worth over Br270, the sale of which is prohibited.

It was also found that there were no price tags on a number of goods at the points of sale of a milk-containing product with MILK fat substitutes, the consumer packaging of which indicated the presence of vegetable oils, it was not displayed in a way that allowed visually separating the said product from other food products, and was not accompanied by an information sign "Products with milk fat substitutes". In some facilities, shoe sales points were not provided with rugs, mirrors, benches.

The inspection is ongoing, the MART noted.
