Such people work at OAO Ostromechevo, which has been a leader in Brest region for many years in terms of production indicators. A correspondent of the 7 Dney newspaper went to the agro-town, which proudly bears the status of "village of the future".
Leading direction 
Located at the highest geographical point of the Brest region, OAO Ostromechevo successfully implements itself in various industries, including such unique ones as mink breeding. The number of these animals is 3.5 thousand. Gardening, growing grain and SUGAR beets are also within the scope of interests. The main direction of OAO
is the livestock industry, the revenue from which is 75%. Seven dairy complexes and complexes for growing heifers and fattening cattle contain 17.6 thousand heads, of which 3.8 thousand are dairy cattle. Last year, 5 thousand tons of live weight beef were sold. In addition, the farm has the status of a breeding farm and breeds the Holstein dairy breed.  - Our priority is to feed the livestock and get quality products with the lowest costs, so we are actively developing crop production. This year, 3 thousand hectares are allocated for corn. About 3.9 thousand hectares are occupied by meadow lands. Forage preparation plays a major role in the efficiency of the activity: high-quality mowing, timely harvesting from fields, tamping, the presence of necessary preservatives. Therefore, compliance with technology and full provision of animals with high-quality and inexpensive food are especially important. Thus, last year the farm laid 42.9 tons of haylage and 52.8 tons of high-class silage, which was more than enough, - claims the DIRECTOR of OAO Ostromechevo Oleg Burak and notes that over the past 20 years, all the farm's MTCs have undergone a complete modernization, and at the end of May, they completed the construction of a new feed mill to meet the needs of the enterprise.  Ostromechevskie cows give 38 thousand tons of MILK per year. The daily milk yield of each of them is 30 and a half kilograms. The agricultural enterprise produces almost 120 tons of milk per day. By the way, OAO Brestskoye Morozhere, which is part of the farm, processes 50% of white gold. it is used to produce delicious products under the well-known trademarks Ostromechevskie Prostory and Timosha.  - More than 15 years ago, we acquired a dairy plant. Of course, it required considerable investments, but now it is self-sufficient, bringing in good profits. We direct these dividends to further modernization and development, - Oleg Anatolyevich notes. Digitalization and modernization of OAO Ostromechevo is conventionally divided into five production departments.Each has its own manager, staff of specialists and workers.





- These are practically mini-farms that operate autonomously under general management. Their goal is to use material resources wisely, eliminate non-production costs and ensure the profitability of their department, - explains Oleg Burak and adds: - Until 2020, we had four departments. That same year, we bought the farm at auction, thereby increasing our cattle herd and land. In order for the department to work effectively and bring profit, we cannot do without investing in modernization. For example, on two acquired farms, cows were transferred to loose housing, equipment and milking parlors were changed. Today, all seven dairy complexes operate using modern technologies. Achieving 
effective and coordinated operation of a multi-industry farm on large territories of 15 thousand hectares is a task with an asterisk. As Oleg Anatolyevich notes, the main thing here is the high professionalism of specialists and their coordinated work . The director's work biography began at OAO Ostromechevo immediately after school, when he got a job as a field worker at the farm. After graduating from the Agricultural Academy, he worked as an agronomist, site manager, chief agronomist. For 10 years now, he has been successfully organizing the work of the team as a director.
- I have been working here almost all my life. Over 40 years, I have studied the structure and know how to make everything work smoothly and efficiently. The digital age has come not only to industry, but also to agriculture . We are also not lagging behind and are moving in this direction. For more than a year, we have been actively using a platform where you can see in real time what work is being done in the field, what equipment is used, what the land is sown with, - the director says. - GPS navigation allows you to see the route, fuel consumption, downtime and the work of the machine operator ... All information is available in two clicks, and farmers know about it. Therefore, everyone does their own thing, and in general we work for the productivity of the enterprise.
No worse than city ones 
The administrative building of OAO Ostromechevo is located in the agro-town of the same name with an infrastructure developed no worse than in the city. The settlement has a secondary school, a kindergarten, a general practitioner's clinic, a bank branch, a post office, a hotel, a cafe, and a community center, which, like many other facilities on the farm's territory, is being improved and reconstructed, including with the help of the JSC. 
- We organize corporate events for our employees so that they can relax, improve their HEALTH, and spend time usefully during the off-season. We try to do this in order to unite and further consolidate the team. Within the farm, we hold our own "Dazhynki", summer and winter fishing tournaments, tourist rallies, excursion trips, as well as football and volleyball championships between departments, - says Oleg Burak. 
The company employs 800 people. Decent working conditions, good wages, and the convenient location of the agro-town near the regional center attract personnel, including those from neighboring areas. The farm has a mentoring program for novice specialists. 
Representatives of the younger generation of farmers who have signed a 5-year contract are paid 150 basic units, which is 6.3 thousand rubles today. The collective agreement also provides for payments at the birth of a child, at a wedding, for all anniversaries and holidays. Another pleasant bonus is medical insurance, under which employees can receive high-quality examination and treatment at any state or private medical center. 
The agricultural enterprise pays great attention to providing housing for its employees by building new houses or buying them. According to Oleg Burak, the enterprise's housing stock is constantly growing and today amounts to over 130 properties. 
"Our people are good, responsible, they know their job and love it," the director says proudly. - There is no shortage of personnel, but we are always ready to accept into our team someone who will live and work with dignity.
