Innovative dairy complex launched in Kobrin district

May 17, Kobrin district. In the Kobrin region, a large innovative dairy complex was opened in the Batchi OJSC, BelTA has learned.

"The Brest region will build and modernize complexes for raising livestock and producing MILK. This complex was built in the shortest possible time: seven months instead of one and a half years, in order to reduce the cost of construction and installation work, materials as much as possible. The project is a serious one, there are about ten of them in the republic," noted Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Yury Shuleiko.

In the village of Devyatki, one might say, they built a milk factory. The complex is designed for keeping 3.2 thousand heads of cattle, including 1.2 thousand dairy herds. it works on the principle of a closed cycle: from the birth of a calf to milk production. There is a maternity ward, a dispensary, calves, blocks for keeping young animals and dairy cows. Cows are milked in a separate block on a carousel-type milking machine. They intend to receive at least 30 tons of milk per day. Now the farm is being staffed with livestock, a third of the livestock has already been transported.

The construction and equipping of such a complex cost about Br35 million. The Kobrin Butter and CHEESE FACTORY invested its own funds, and credit resources were also used. "The resulting milk will be sent to the Kobrin Butter and Cheese Plant. He is the owner. He develops his raw material zone, invests in the enterprise," the governor added.

The Brest region specializes in the production of agricultural products. A quarter of the volume of exports in the republic falls on the share of the southwestern region. The region aims to increase food production. “We are building complexes in order to increase the number of dairy herds, to get maximum milk yield. Now there are about 48 facilities in operation. Some will be commissioned this year, there will be those that will be carried over to the next year. We are doing everything to be updated and the region could increase gross milk production. The goals are ambitious," Yury Shuleiko summed up.
