"Gomelagrokomplekt" and the Omsk Institute of Instrument Engineering intend to implement an import-substituting project

March 26, Gomel. OJSC Gomelagrokomplekt and the Omsk Research Institute of Instrument Making are working out the details of a joint import substitution project in the field of livestock farming, BELTA reports.

The delegation got acquainted with the potential and production capabilities of Gomelagrokomplekt, which specializes in the production of equipment for livestock, poultry, and feed production.

As Alexander Stribuk, General DIRECTOR of the Holding Management Company Gomelagrokomplekt OJSC, said, long-standing and fruitful relations have developed with the Omsk region. “About a dozen of our halls operate on farms in the region. Today we showed farm managers our new Carousel equipment. And with the Omsk Research Institute of Instrument Engineering we have a new topic. They developed a herd management system. Our engineers are testing it now. If the tests go well, we will sign a contract," he said. The prototype will arrive in the Gomel region in May. It is planned to supply two control systems this year and 24 next year. "In the future we plan to completely move away from the imported component and work with Russian colleagues," he added. We are talking about technology that is used by only a few countries in the world.

The Omsk NIIP has developed an automated livestock management system "ASU-AGRO", which uses intelligent decision support technologies and a data transfer protocol. The complex will help farmers increase the efficiency of keeping cattle and improve the quality of MILK .

" Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk Region Nikolai Drofa emphasized the success of cooperation between the regions of the two countries. "Belarus and the Gomel region are our main partners in a number of areas. We cooperate with the Gomselmash enterprise, which produces a wide range of combine harvesters. About 40% of the combine harvester fleet on farms in the Omsk region is made in Belarus. "Gomelagrokomplekt" supplies our livestock farming with equipment in many areas. These include milk coolers, milking parlors, and equipment," he recalled. Currently, the details of a joint project of the Omsk Research Institute of Instrument Engineering and Gomelagrokomplekt with the creation of a unified complex of dairy equipment for livestock farms are being worked out.

"The presidents of our countries have determined the directions on import substitution, including in agriculture. And our task is to use resources, complementing each other, so that our people can have decent jobs with a good technological process,” Nikolai Drofa emphasized.

A visit to the "Gomelagrokomplekt" is one of the points on the working trip program of the Omsk delegation to the south-eastern region of Belarus. Omsk residents also got acquainted with the production of combine harvesters at Gomselmash.
