The large-scale campaign "Together - for a Strong and Healthy Family," dedicated to Family Day, will run in Belarus until May 17th. Events will span all regions of the country and will include educational, cultural, sports, and social initiatives.

The "Road to Victory" exhibition, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Soviet people's victory in the Great Patriotic War, will run at the MINSK International Exhibition Center BELEXPO until July 5th.

The 40th music festival "Minsk Spring - 2025" will run through May 31st at the Belarusian State Philharmonic. This year's festival's main theme will be the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

Nikolai Aleksandrovich Tikhonov, Soviet statesman, Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers (1980-1985), twice Hero of Socialist Labor, and laureate of the USSR State Prize (1943, 1951), was born 120 years ago. He died in 1997.

50 years ago, Svetlana Vladimirovna Evshchik (Minsk) was born. She was a Belarusian athlete and trainer (equestrian sport , dressage), Master of Sports of Belarus (1993). She was also a world champion in the international correspondence competition "World Challenge" (2002). She was also a two-time medalist of the World Cup stages (2003, 2004).
