June 25, Minsk. The average American eats very low-quality foods that Belarusians simply cannot eat. This is the opinion of the Russian political scientist Dmitry Evstafiev within the framework of the project "In the subject" on the BelTA YouTube channel.
“American politics is a struggle of the elites, whether we like it or not. No matter how we feel about Biden, Trump or Hillary Clinton, in the USA everything is decided at the level of the elites. And if the American society begins to be interested in politics, then it’s bad. "The American policy of the last seven or eight years is that the American society began to wonder what was happening. Therefore, Trump appeared, who had to be broken by violating all conceivable and inconceivable norms. The American society is tired of constantly hammering the current political agenda into the head," said Dmitry Evstafiev.
According to him, one of the main issues in the US is the price of gasoline. Now a second and potentially much more dangerous issue is emerging - the price of food "America is a country of cheap food. The food that an ordinary American eats is of very poor quality. Milk is not milk, chicken is not chicken, sausages are not a topic there at all. Belarusians in general are "The average American is used to spending little on food. He is used to eating poorly, but he does not know that it is bad. The average American has not drunk normal milk, has not seen normal sour cream, has not eaten normal sausages or sausages. But it is cheap. A Now it's getting expensive," the political scientist stressed.
Dmitry Evstafiev is confident that the crisis in America will develop in two directions. “There remains either an increase in prices for medical services, or a zeroing of pension savings. All this adds up. Gasoline prices, which have risen in price by about 15-17% for meat products. Any of the two components I mentioned as a third - and you get an absolutely clear situation for socio-economic crisis. It cannot be mitigated either by a new environmentalism, or by a green agenda, or by Ukraine, or even by the terrible Putin, because the American will think of something else," the political scientist summed up.
