March 29, Moscow. By decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission of Belarus, it was agreed to extend the state regulation of prices for socially significant goods until June 29, 2022 inclusive, BelTA learned from the EEC press service.

"The list of regulated socially significant goods is determined by the Decree of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus dated December 21, 2021 No. 79 "On the regulation of prices for socially significant goods". It includes, among other things, buckwheat, margarine, salt, sugar, canned food, apples, certain types of semi-finished meat products, milk , butter and other goods," the EEC noted.

"The decision of the EEC Board to agree on the extension of the period of state price regulation in the Republic of Belarus is aimed at stabilizing the situation in the domestic market and preventing price speculation on socially significant goods," the press service stressed.

"Earlier, the Commission's Department of Antimonopoly Regulation held consultations with the participation of the authorized bodies of the EAEU member states, which agreed with the proposal of the Belarusian side," the EEC added.
