The HEAD of the region especially focused on the achievements of the agro-industrial complex of the region. “We are intensively engaged in animal husbandry: about 5.6 thousand tons of MILK are supplied to factories daily. Almost a quarter of our industrial production is processing. The region is one of the largest exporters of MEAT and dairy products, provides more than a quarter of Belarusian exports. We are active in export activities, we are working with various countries. I think this visit will also have a certain result," the governor said.
This is the second such event organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Brest region. For the first time, Trade Advisor Day was held in the region six years ago in connection with the 1st International Forum - Exhibition of Business Contacts "Brest-2016". The current visit is timed to the Day of the city of Brest. Participation in festive events is one of the points of the program, but not the main purpose of the trip of diplomats. Members of the delegation have already visited the joint venture "Santa Bremor", JSC "Savushkin product", held a meeting in the Brest branch of the BelCCI.
"Negotiations were held there with representatives of 30 companies - both private and state-owned, with foreign capital. Woodworking, food products, logistics, and other areas were presented. The interest was bilateral. For many diplomats who are part-time in Moscow, this is generally the first visit to Belarus. Therefore, getting to know the region, visiting enterprises is an important component of the program. I think that the contacts that will be established during the visit will give a new impetus to trade, economic, friendly, cultural ties between the countries," the chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union noted. -Industrial Chamber Mikhail Myatlikov.
In addition to enterprises, the diplomats also intend to visit the main sights of the region - the Brest Fortress and Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
