April 20, Brest. The monitoring of prices for basic foodstuffs once again demonstrates the social orientation of state policy. Anatoly Dashko, deputy of the House of Representatives, told journalists about this after visiting one of the shops in Brest, BelTA has learned.
"Monitoring once again showed how our state and population live under sanctions. There is no excitement in the trading network, all the shelves are full. Nothing is limited, there are no restrictions. Once again, we are convinced that our state is social and tries to regulate prices for socially significant essential goods, so that they are available to the population," the deputy said.
The parliamentarians have been monitoring the situation with prices on the consumer market since February last year. “Monthly, while working in the districts, we monitor prices for both medicines and food. When we come to the House of Representatives, each of us draws up a report with recommendations and proposals that we develop in the course of this work,” Anatoly Dashko explained.
According to the deputy, he visited almost all retail chains of the regional center. This time, according to the plan, there was a store No. 7 of JSC "Prodtovary" on Sovetskaya Street. Anatoly Dashko compared prices in March-April for socially important goods, for which, in accordance with government decree No. 214, price increases of more than 1.2% are not allowed compared to the previous month.
“It can be said that prices for the main groups of goods from the list practically do not increase. For potatoes, carrots, onions and beets, according to the new decree, prices are fixed, they cannot increase by more than 1 kopeck. it is gratifying that for some groups of goods (eggs chicken, carcass of broiler chickens, pork, MILK with 2.5% fat content, dry infant formula "Bellakt") prices did not increase at all. Prices for rapeseed, sunflower, butter remained at the same level compared to last month in this network ", - said the parliamentarian.
He also drew attention to goods that are not included in the mandatory list, but are in high demand among the population. So, for pollock, the price remained at the same level. Moreover, it is lower than for imported capelin. FLOUR prices rose slightly. Most of all, they grew up on Russian products. Flour of Belarusian production is presented on the shelves of the store in a wide range.
"There was a lot of noise about SUGAR. Its price increased by 74 kopecks. But we must understand that since 2016, selling prices for trading in it have not increased. This is one time. Secondly, there was a dissonance with Russia: prices there are several times higher. Therefore, in order to protect our market, we had to raise the price," Anatoly Dashko commented.
According to Andrey Misiruk, the HEAD of the store, the shopping basket and the purchase receipt have increased lately. "From month to month, we have an increase in sales. It is clear that prices have changed. But I would say that, despite the prices, there are more buyers compared to previous months," the trade worker noted.
Once every two weeks, the store organizes promotions for customers, in which more than 150 types of industrial and food products are involved. Today there just starts a new list of promotional positions.
