November 16, Bobruisk. Container shipments from Belarus to CHINA have almost quadrupled this year. Minister of Economy Alexander Chervyakov spoke about this with the labor collectives of Bobruisk on topical issues of the emerging military-political situation, BelTA has learned.

"Plans to destroy our economy failed. The HEAD of state set clear tasks for the entire vertical of power. Firstly, all enterprises should work, and the population should not feel the impact of sanctions. The government quickly responded and mobilized all resources and efforts. An operational situational headquarters was created, where decisions are made to support industries and help businesses .We worked almost every day, seven days a week. The Ministry of Economy accumulated all the information, made certain conclusions and conclusions, and then sent the information to the headquarters. He made decisions day after day," Alexander Chervyakov said.

According to the Minister of Economy, after a five-month slowdown, the economy began to grow, and since August it has entered the trajectory of recovery growth. The main contribution was made by agriculture, and since September - by industry, where recovery dynamics is also being formed. In industry, Belarus is growing in sectors that produce high-tech products. The country produced more integrated circuits, tractors, televisions, optics, mining trucks.

"I would like to dwell on one of the key issues - food security. Many foreign experts predict a shortage of food in the world due to the consequences of their own sanctions policy. In addition, world food prices have risen significantly. This year, prices for butter in the European Union increased by 80%, for MILK powder by 50%, for beef by 28%. In the Baltic countries, the food basket has become more expensive by 20%. More than 30% of Britons began to save on food. In our country, the issue of food security has been resolved provided themselves with basic foodstuffs," Alexander Chervyakov said.

The Minister of Economy noted that this year a record harvest of grain crops has been harvested in Belarus over the past five years. Belarusians are provided with vegetables, they have completed the laying of products in stabilization funds for trade in the off-season. The country is also creating a solid fodder base for animal husbandry. This is a guarantee that the Belarusians will be with MEAT, milk and bread.

“The deputy chairman of the KGB said that the fugitives are preparing a “hungry riot.” Here they will definitely not succeed, Alexander Chervyakov is convinced. Over the current period, we exported food and agricultural goods worth almost $6 billion, that is, we have grown by more than a quarter."

Measures were also taken to counter sanctions that affected transport and logistics. With regard to rail transport, Belarus increased the transportation of containers to China in January-October by almost four and a half times compared to the same period last year.
