December 20, MINSK. Dry ice cream will be exported through the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange. This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the BUCE.

At the auctions of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, a new export-oriented commodity item is introduced - a dry mix for making ice cream. The first application for sale from a Belarusian dairy company has already been registered in the BUCE trading system. So far, 500 packages of dry ice cream have been put up for sale on the terms of 100% prepayment with shipment from the manufacturer's warehouse. The Russian Federation is indicated as the preferred market.

As the BUCE press service noted, the expansion of the range of dairy products exported through the exchange platform is due to the intensification of cooperation with dairy industry enterprises, which expect to increase the volume of supplies of their products abroad through the exchange sales channel.

"Currently, all the most liquid and demanded types of dairy products are presented at the EXPORT exchange auctions. These are, in particular, skimmed and whole MILK powder , condensed milk, dried cream and whey, butter, rennet cheeses and cottage cheese. This year, this the products were mainly supplied to the Russian Federation, as well as to CHINA , where recently there has been an increase in demand for Belarusian milk. Therefore, the inclusion of dry mix for ice cream in the list of exchange goods can be considered a logical continuation of the exchange's cooperation with the country's milk processing enterprises," the BUCE noted.

Despite the fact that the formation of a pool of potential buyers is just beginning, a small batch of dry ice cream from a manufacturer from the Brest region has already been put up for the export trading session on December 23.

“Of course, the conclusion of a deal at a pilot auction is unlikely, since sellers and buyers usually need some time to look at each other and exchange counter offers. However, even in the absence of deals, this is an additional opportunity for a Belarusian enterprise to advertise its product and develop the right pricing policy, meeting the expectations of foreign buyers. The exchange, for its part, will provide all the necessary conditions," the press service emphasized.

The sale of dry mix for ice cream for export is organized within the same trading session with other types of dairy products. These auctions are held at BUCE three times a week.
