This was discussed during a meeting with a delegation of Chinese business circles , who visited the central office of the exchange to discuss the possibility of purchasing agricultural and woodworking products at the exchange auction, BelTA learned from the press service of the BUCE.
"Our trading platform is fully adapted to work with the Chinese market, providing all the necessary conditions for the further growth of mutual trade, including the search for suppliers in Belarus, transaction support, settlements and logistics," said Oksana Bogdasarova, HEAD of the agricultural products trading department at BUCE.According to her, over the past year and a half, it was possible to form a pool of regular customers. "In particular, in the agro-industrial complex segment, such positions as rapeseed oil , skimmed MILK powder and beef are in greatest demand among Chinese participants . We have accredited all the leading manufacturers of these products, which greatly simplifies the search for counterparties. At the same time, at the request of the Chinese side, settlements on transactions can be carried out in yuan, including with deferred payment. Thus, currency risks are minimized," the representative of the exchange emphasized.
In this regard, Wanghui Chen, CEO of Beijing Huibaocheng Technology, expressed interest in cooperating with BUCE on the purchase of dairy products and vegetable oils, which are widely used in China's food industry. “At the start, we are ready to buy about 10 thousand tons of rapeseed oil on the exchange every month with the possibility of increasing supplies in the future. In addition, we are interested in Belarusian dried milk , but much will depend on the price level and transport and logistics costs. In any case, we will we will work out the offers available on your site and try to participate in the auction," the representative of the Chinese company assured.
The talks also touched upon the participation of Chinese companies in the timber trades. According to the head of the timber products section of BUCE Maxim Ignatenko, now this is one of the most liquid groups of goods on the stock exchange. "In this regard, special trading sessions for the sale of sawn products to China are especially indicative. All lots at such sessions are put up with delivery to a certain point in the territory of China - a seaport or a railway station. As a result, the attractiveness of exchange trading as a procurement tool increases. For example, at special sessions On May 17, 68% of the proposed resource was purchased," he said.
