
November 10, MINSK. The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange presented the potential of electronic exchange trading in agricultural products at the world agricultural exhibition Wagri, which was held on November 8-9 in Guangzhou ( CHINA ), BelTA learned from the press service of the BUCE.
This year, despite the pandemic, the exhibition brought together about 500 exhibitors from Southeast Asia, Europe, South America and the Middle East. Visitors to the BUCE booth had the opportunity to get acquainted in detail with the principles of operation of the Belarusian exchange platform, the most popular commodity items, the procedure for participating in exchange trading and the main advantages of the exchange mechanism.
As noted in the press service, the exchange participated in such a highly specialized exhibition forum on agricultural topics for the first time. The main goal was to tell as many representatives of Chinese business as possible about the possibilities of using the exchange platform in trading with Belarus, European countries and the EAEU and accredit them to work on the exchange. “Of course, the organization of regular deliveries of Belarusian goods to the Chinese market is a priority for us. Currently, 60 Chinese companies cooperate with us, two of which have received the status of non-resident brokers. deals were made for the purchase of rapeseed oil and SUGAR.In addition, Chinese buyers are actively interested in Belarusian MEAT and dairy products: powdered MILK and whey, cheeses, beef, offal. Therefore, we will work on these commodity items in the first place," the BUCE said.
Wagri 2021 is organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Macau Association of Vegetable Wholesale Organizations, and South China Agricultural University.
According to the results of 10 months of 2021, the exchange trade turnover between Belarus and China increased by 2.6 times and amounted to $50.6 million. The implementation of a set of measures to attract Chinese companies to the auction, as well as regular EXPORT trading sessions with logistics of delivery of goods to end consumers in China.
