BUCE and the leadership of the Volgograd region agreed to increase the volume of exchange trading

September 30, MINSK. An agreement on the development of cooperation in stock trading between Belarus and the Volgograd region of RUSSIA was reached following negotiations between the leadership of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange and representatives of the administration of the Volgograd region. The meeting took place during the Belarusian Industrial Innovation Forum, BUCE press secretary Roman Yaniv told BelTA.

According to the parties, at present, Volgograd enterprises, primarily small and medium-sized businesses, do not fully realize the potential of the exchange mechanism in trade with Belarusian business entities. One of the main reasons is the lack of awareness of the possibilities of the exchange platform. In this regard, Alexander Dorzhdeev, First Deputy Governor of the Volgograd Region, expressed his readiness to assist in informing the business community of the region about the tools and solutions offered by BUCE through all available communication channels, including with the support of the Volgograd Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“We are extremely interested in increasing the mutual trade turnover between our region and Belarus, and the platform of the Belarusian Commodity Exchange can be a good help for Volgograd entrepreneurs who would like to work on the Belarusian market. Therefore, we are ready to use our resources and bring information about the benefits of exchange trading to our entrepreneurs. You can start with members of the Volgograd Chamber of Commerce and Industry, among which, I am sure, there are many enterprises that want to sell their products in Belarus," Alexander Dorzhdeev believes.

The initiative was supported by the President of the Volgograd CCI Vadim Tkachenko, who was also present at the talks. “It seems to me that the exchange will be of interest primarily to small and medium-sized businesses, since it not only provides direct contact with potential business partners in Belarus, but also minimizes the risk of default on foreign trade transactions. This is already a good enough reason to be accredited to exchange platform and participate in the auction," said Vadim Tkachenko.

Alexander Osmolovsky, Chairman of the Board of BUCE, confirmed that it is important to intensify cooperation with small companies and individual entrepreneurs that do not have their own commodity distribution network. He offered to help them sell their products both to Belarus and to the countries of the European Union, where BUCE has about 3,000 clients.

"Today, our exchange is not just an electronic trading platform, but a full-fledged marketing tool that greatly facilitates foreign trade activities. An enterprise from the Volgograd region only needs to place an order in the exchange trading system, and we will form a pool of potential buyers for it as soon as possible, and not only By the way, this is actively used by individual entrepreneurs from the Bryansk, Pskov and Smolensk regions, selling sawn timber through our site to the Baltic countries.Last week, 21 transit transactions for sawn products were concluded in just one trading session.Building materials, rapeseed oil are no less actively sold , dry MILKand other Russian-made goods. In this regard, the opportunities for Volgograd companies are very wide," the HEAD of BUCE stressed.

JSC "Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange" was established in 2004. The first auction took place in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest commodity exchanges in Eastern Europe. The main function of the exchange is to assist Belarusian enterprises in exporting products and to help foreign companies enter the Belarusian market. The exchange sells metal, timber, agricultural products, industrial and consumer goods of a wide range.
