The sowing of agricultural crops was completed in SUP "Schepichi-Agro". Despite the vagaries of the spring weather, the company is satisfied with the timing and quality of plowing. There are many intense weeks of daily hard work ahead, the crown of which will be the harvesting campaign. How did the spring field work - in the report of our correspondent.

- Although certain adjustments, adjusted for weather conditions, have been made, - explains Alexander Rubanik , DIRECTOR of SUP Shchepichi-Agro. – In the spring, our efforts were focused on sowing beets, spring barley and corn. All work was completed right on time. In addition, large-scale preparatory activities were carried out in the winter. Mineral fertilizers, fuel were purchased, equipment was repaired. In general, we cope with the tasks set successfully.

As for winter crops, they endured the cold season steadfastly. Although the mild nature of the weather is not the most suitable option for crops.

“Especially when it comes to snow. This winter, it melted every now and then, which is not always good for winter crops. Nevertheless, we managed to preserve the crops, now they are actively growing, - specifies the HEAD of the enterprise.

This year, local farmers are counting on a decent harvest. As a guide - the results of the harvest-2022. Then the economy was marked by one of the best indicators in its history.

– In total, we have threshed over 9.1 thousand tons of grain with an average yield of 70.7 centners per hectare. These numbers are very motivating. Of course, in order to repeat or surpass them, you need to work hard. We will strive to show high numbers this year and ensure excellent product quality,” says Alexander Rubanik.

On the day of our visit, the specialists of the enterprise were just completing spring field work. At the first point, Vitaliy Zhdanovich sows spring barley. It is recognized that this year the weather has brought many surprises.

“Just remember how winter suddenly returned at the end of March, although by that time we were already working in the fields. However, this is agriculture . Situations can be different, and each new season is completely different from the previous one. We are ready for any development of events, - the machine operator briefly described the situation.

A whole team of agrarians works at the neighboring point. So, Alexander Vasilevsky is busy making mineral fertilizers. In a short conversation, the machine operator says that they have prepared well for the sowing season.

- In winter, all the equipment was sorted out from and to. Where necessary, high-quality repairs were made. The management provided the enterprise with fertilizers in a timely manner. The only thing left for us is to do our job. Now the weather has improved, we are working at a good pace. And there is not far off and the harvesting campaign, - says Alexander Vasilevsky.

Mechanic Vitaly Tolkach plows on a nearby field on a tractor with an AKSH-6 unit. The duties of a specialist are to prepare the soil for sowing SUGAR beets. The task is complex and large-scale, since more than 300 hectares have been allocated for cultivation.

“It will take more than one day to sow everything,” the specialist says. So we work from early morning until late at night. Beet is one of the key crops for our company. Fortunately, all the preparations went well. We sow according to the deadlines, we hope for a good harvest. The mood is upbeat.

Yury Salata, who works nearby in the sugar beet sowing, notes good working conditions. A specialist in the economy for more than one year.

- The management has created all the conditions for the team. I will especially note the state of technology and its regular updating. The company is constantly purchasing new samples that make the work much more efficient and enjoyable. After all, modern technology is designed not only to increase the quality of the crop , but also the convenience for the driver, - says the machine operator.

Moreover, specialists are provided with hot meals right at their workplaces.

- Enhanced nutrition for farmers is very important. During the day, a lot of energy is spent, which must be constantly replenished. By the way, we have excellent food, - the machine operator summed up.

In the coming weeks, farmers face several strategic tasks at once. In particular, observe all the nuances of technologies for growing crops.

– The weather is an integral part of success, but not the most important one. Of course, our employees make a significant contribution to the harvest. Behind them are dozens of campaigns carried out, each of which was not easy. We are sure that this year we will manage, - says Alexander Rubanik.

It is planned to use seven combine harvesters at the harvest. Almost all equipment of Belarusian production.

- Domestic harvesters have proven themselves on the good side. Modern and high-quality equipment, which is constantly being improved. The high-quality harvest is a considerable merit of the Belarusian developers, - concluded the director of SUP "Schepichi-Agro".

SUP "Schepichi-Agro" is famous for its sugar beet harvest. In 2022, local farmers showed a phenomenal result - 24.4 thousand tons of root crops. The yield reached 764 c/ha. The collected raw materials are processed at the Slutsk Sugar Refinery.

A large part of the company's production falls on the livestock sector. In 2022, the average MILK yield was 6895 kilograms, which is 107% higher than in the same period in 2021. The development of the dairy industry in the economy is given special attention. The management plans to expand the existing facilities through the construction of new buildings for animal husbandry. Construction is expected to start this year.

SUP "Schepichi-Agro" pays great attention to the cultivation of rapeseed. In 2022, the enterprise showed a decent result for this crop - 56.8 centners per hectare. The gross harvest amounted to 1675 tons. Winter rapeseed is one of the key crops this season as well.
