September 24, MINSK. The Minsk region lays a huge foundation for the food security of the entire country. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Brylo at the awarding ceremony for farmers of the Minsk region at the "Dazhynki" in Stolbtsy, BelTA has learned.
Today, the regional festival-fair of village workers "Dazhynki-2022" is taking place in Stolbtsy. For residents and guests of the city, a varied cultural and entertainment program was prepared with thematic areas, interactive zones, demonstration performances by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and races in sports cars. The holiday will end with a concert of Belarusian pop stars, a performance by Russian artist Stas Piekha and colorful and bright fireworks.“It is a great honor for me to be on this stage today, on behalf of the entire apparatus of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, I congratulate you on such a wonderful holiday on the beautiful and hospitable Minsk land. I must honestly say that the Minsk region lays a huge foundation for the food security of the whole country. Having a quarter of the harvest cereals, a third of the rapeseed crop, a quarter of MILK production, almost a third of the MEAT production of all types of animals, you once again create a large platform for food security," said Igor Brylo.
The minister added that today the farmers receive gratitude for their work, and tomorrow they will go out into the fields again and continue to work hard to increase production. "We still need to harvest flax, potatoes, SUGAR beet. We need to start harvesting corn for grain, prepare grassy fodder, and lay the foundation for livestock breeding in our country," Igor Brylo emphasized.
The Minsk region has achieved very serious results, the minister believes. He wished the agrarians high professionalism: "Next year you should at least go at the same height. I wish you good HEALTH, good luck and a peaceful sky over your HEAD."
