June 28, MINSK. The EXPORT of Belarusian food products to Kazakhstan is increasing every year, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Brylo told reporters, BelTA informs.
"The market of Kazakhstan firmly ranks second after RUSSIA in the trade of Belarusian food. And we are very grateful to our Kazakh friends for the fact that our products are in great demand, and I must say that every year the level of trade and economic relations is growing. By the end of the year, we plan to achieve 120% of our exports to Kazakhstan compared to last year: in 2020 it was over $300 million. It is gratifying that our exports are increasing every year,” said Igor Brylo.
According to him, the countries are planning to implement a joint agricultural production project. “We proposed to the Kazakh side to make a certain model of a Belarusian farm in order to be able to expand this area throughout Kazakhstan later. Therefore, we worked out financing and project issues with the Development Bank. Until July 15, we are waiting for certain proposals from the Kazakh side and after that we invite them visit to show a real object on the territory of Belarus," the First Deputy Minister emphasized.“There is a shortage of MILK in Kazakhstan, so we held meetings here with businessmen who are interested in milk production within the republic, so as not to import dairy products from outside. They want to use the experience that Belarus went through 10-15 years ago. We, in turn, , of course, are ready to lend a shoulder to our friends and share their technologies, capabilities and experience," said Igor Brylo.
In Kazakhstan, it is headed by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko.
