
May 18, Brest. The Brest region is aimed at closer cooperation with the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan. Regional Executive Committee Chairman Yury Shuleiko at the Brest-2022 international forum of business contacts, BelTA has learned.
On the sidelines of the forum, an action plan for 2022-2023 was signed to implement the agreement between the Brest regional executive committee and the khokimiyat of the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan. We are talking about trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation. Yuriy Shuleiko and the khokim of the Bukhara region Botir Zaripov put their signatures under the documents."Our relations with Uzbekistan have been established for a long time and are producing an effect. The signing of the action plan will give a certain impetus. I think that in the near future we will prepare the visit of Brest residents in order to work more fruitfully there. We supply butter, milk powder , meat, which are in demand there. Exports are growing ", - said the chairman of the Brest regional executive committee.
Also during the forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed by the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Indonesian city of Semarang. The cooperation agreements were sealed by the administrations of the free economic zone "Brest" and the pilot zone of regional trade and economic cooperation "China-SCO". A memorandum of intent to establish friendly relations was signed by Pinsk and China's Jincheng. Sister-city relations were concluded between the Ivatsevichi district and the Bessonovsky district of the Penza region of Russia.
Representatives of 15 European and Asian countries are participating in the business contacts forum in Brest.
