SPK "Agrokombinat Snov" is rightfully considered one of the most successful farms in the region and the whole country. it has long been learned to maintain a high production culture, to obtain excellent weight gain of young cattle for fattening, high yields of grain, beets and fodder crops. With all the fluctuations in the climate and the volatile agricultural market, the enterprise under the leadership of the Honored Worker of Agriculture of Belarus Nikolai Radoman does not slow down the momentum and is steadily moving forward.

The fuller the ear, the stronger the voice

This year did not promise good harvests for Belarusian farmers.

– May and June have 42 days without rain! I thought the grains would no longer pour. But, thank God, it worked out. Perhaps the figures will be slightly less than last year, but in general I am satisfied, - the HEAD of the farm admits. - If the weather still allows and we will clean everything without loss, then we must thank God and our workers for such a harvest.

Last year Snovtsy reached a record 97 centners of grain per lap. If today the indicator will decrease, it will not be so significant. And so far the views are good. More than 10 thousand tons of grain were threshed on the farm. It remains to harvest 1200 hectares of wheat. Winter barley is already in the bins. To date, the average grain yield on the farm is 93.3% centner.

According to forecasts, the yield of SUGAR beet will be even better than in 2022, when 830 c/ha was harvested.

This year, rapeseed was a success - 63.9 centners per lap. More than six thousand tons have already been threshed. Scientists assure that rapeseed is the plant of the future, with a huge potential that the world's farmers have yet to appreciate.

– Rapeseed is especially important in animal feeding, because it is a natural protein, – Nikolai Radoman explains. – We include rapeseed cake and rapeseed oil in sufficient quantities in the feed ration for cattle and poultry, which, of course, reduces the cost of our recipes . Say what you like, but your own food and proteins are much cheaper than purchased ones. True, you can’t completely refuse imported soybean meal anyway. And everyone who is engaged in poultry farming knows about it. It is necessary to introduce at least 10 percent of this valuable protein raw material into the feed, otherwise there will be no result. Meal for a bird is like a balm for a wound.

Since the weather is good in August, they clean the cooperative until late.

- Yesterday, until 11 at night, the lads worked on such a rise! - says the head of the economy. – We were ready to work at least until the morning, but, however, the wheat begins to “damp” by midnight, and therefore we had to curtail work.

Live and be happy

The cooperative employs about 1900 people. The agricultural complex pays special attention to the development of the social sphere, the construction of social infrastructure on the territory of the farm and measures to support employees.

- We are also responsible for 600 pensioners, whom we also consider members of our household. They receive dividends, material assistance, gifts for the Day of the Agricultural Worker and the New Year. Is it possible to delete these people from our life? - says the leader. - Time flies at lightning speed, and we will all someday become pensioners. So why not help our predecessors, the founding fathers, those who laid the foundations and future prospects of our economy? After all, it is thanks to their selfless work that today we have the opportunity to live beautifully, work effectively and develop.

Today, there is a shortage of labor resources in rural areas. Especially there is a shortage of workers in seasonal work.

– Of course, thanks to our President, assistance is provided to many agricultural enterprises. At the time of important agricultural work, sowing, harvesting campaigns, the regional and city executive committees provide us with support, attracting workers from sponsored enterprises. Of course, this is the right approach, but we also need to grow our own staff - trained, competent, knowledgeable. Working on the ground is hard work. Here you can't do without experience. Therefore, in order for people to gain a foothold in rural areas, it is necessary for them to create conditions so that their quality of life does not differ from the urban one.

The investments of the agricultural complex in the social sphere are colossal - annually it is about 400 thousand dollars. A decent salary, their own housing, well-equipped life - Snovites live no worse than residents of the capital. Many of them built individual houses for themselves, neatly and tastefully arranged courtyard areas. Residents are provided with full-fledged active cultural leisure. Within walking distance there is a stadium, playgrounds, a football mini-field with artificial turf, a 25-meter swimming pool. And also - a shopping center, a cafe "Snowsky maentak", Houses of life and culture, a bath and laundry plant - in a word, live and be happy!

You can't fool the buyer

Thanks to a team of experienced specialists in the SPK, we have achieved high weight gain. So, for 7 months, the average daily weight gain for cattle is 1052 grams per circle.

(+ 15 grams compared to last year), poultry - 65.4 grams. The daily MILK yield has also increased - 32.5 liters per cow. According to the management, all these impressive figures are due to strict compliance with the requirements of the technology for keeping and feeding cattle .

The head of the farm focuses his specialists not only on gross indicators and productivity, but also on economic efficiency: every square meter of land, every kilogram of milk and MEAT should give the greatest return, preferably with a good added value.

The agricultural complex was one of the first in the country to work on the principle of "field - farm - processing - counter - consumer". Such a supply chain helps to reduce dependence on external factors.

"Snov" is one of the best integrated large-scale commercial farms in the country, the largest supplier of meat and dairy products (more than 300 items in total). SPK actively trades with RUSSIA, where canned meat, poultry and finished products go . Kyrgyzstan willingly takes beef . Snovtsy emphasize that, unlike huge meat processing plants, they operate with much smaller production volumes - 35-40 tons per day, and the domestic market is a priority today. After all, their products are in high demand among the Belarusian consumer. The farm has an extensive branded trade: 18 stores in MINSK and the Minsk region, 28 trading places on Komarovka.

– We produce a branded product made from good quality raw materials. For the manufacture of our sausage delicacy products, mainly natural additives are used, - says Nikolai Radoman. You can't fool a buyer now. Slightly lowered the quality - and he will refuse your products. And if you keep the brand, then the person becomes a regular customer. Yes, and tell your neighbor about you. Therefore, we have no problems with the sale of products.

Discipline at the forefront

Snov is an advanced, exemplary farm, but working here is not so easy. The leader does not hide the fact that he is by nature harsh and very demanding. After all, the culture of production, as you know, implies primarily technological and performance discipline. Therefore, they adhere to a policy of carrot and stick: for honest and conscientious work, they are rewarded with a ruble, and for failure to comply with this or that order, they are severely punished.

- I'm from the locals. I have been working for almost half a century in an agricultural complex, of which 19 years have been in the position of a manager. If you want the economy to always be afloat, you must wholeheartedly serve this land and the people who live on it. And, of course, keep everything under control. If you let something take its course and did not have time to watch it, a headache is guaranteed, - Nikolai Radoman admits. - I know a lot of colleagues, leaders, as they say, of the Soviet warehouse. They selflessly served and continue to serve the Fatherland, the people and the President. None of them look at their watches, does not consider personal time and lives according to the principle "Before, think about the Motherland, and then about yourself." Our plans for the future are not to stop at the same place, to improve, to move forward. Reduce the cost of production in order to be competitive in the market and sell it with added value. My motto is simple: make sure that tomorrow people live better than today. If our villagers feel comfortable, and their well-being improves every year, then I think we are moving in the right direction.
