August 9, MINSK. This July has been the driest for Belgium since 1885. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Royal Meteorological Institute.

So, last month in Belgium, only 5.4 mm of precipitation fell, or less than 8% of the norm. There has not been such a drought in the country for almost 140 years.

The lack of rain has led to a significant shallowing of rivers and reservoirs in the country. Significant damage has also been done to agriculture. In particular, in Belgium there may be a shortage of MILK, because the grass in the fields is scorched by the sun and the cows do not have enough food.
