May 29, MINSK. Belarus ranks first in the EAEU in terms of agricultural production per capita. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Leonid Zayats on the air of the TV channel, BelTA informs.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the deepest desire and dream of any country is to have food independence. "Our republic has it. We have a very high rating among all member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. Among the five participating countries, we rank first in agricultural production per capita - $986. The average value for the EAEU countries is $649," he said. Leonid Zayats.
According to him, Belarus is one of the five suppliers of dairy products in the world, ranks third in butter, fourth in cheese, and fifth in powdered MILK.
