Belarus will soon establish beef supplies to the Vietnamese market. This was reported to journalists by
Minister of Agriculture and Food Yury Gorlov, a BELTA correspondent reports.
As the minister explained, Belarus currently supplies dairy products and dry dairy products to
Vietnam . Whole MILK packed in Tetra Pak is in particular demand.
"In general, food
exports last year amounted to slightly more than $6 million. We are noting a positive trend compared to last year's level," the minister said, adding that such a trend has been maintained in the first quarter of this year.
A delegation of Belarusian specialists visited Vietnam to build further cooperation. "Certain agreements were reached regarding beef supplies to the Vietnamese market. A long way has been traveled, the Vietnamese side has already confirmed veterinary certificates to our country, according to which we will supply our products.
it remains to clarify certain documents, and in the near future we will be able to supply beef to the Vietnamese market," Yury Gorlov said. Similar
work is being carried out to obtain veterinary certificates for the supply of pork and poultry.
According to him, Belarusians and Vietnamese have similar preferences in terms of food products, so everything that is produced in our country can be exported to Vietnam. In turn, Belarus buys rice, seafood, and
fruit from Vietnam . And
the import of food products from Vietnam still exceeds the
EXPORT. "Therefore, in this area, we still have a large reserve to increase the supply of our products to the Vietnamese market," the minister noted.
