MINSK . Last year, Belarusian enterprises increased the volume of dry skim
MILK and whey supplies to Pakistan threefold. The figure was announced during the talks between Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Vadim Shagoiko and Pakistani Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, BelTA learned from the press service of the agricultural department.
it was noted that the Pakistani delegation is interested in expanding bilateral cooperation with Belarus in agriculture and the agro-industrial complex. In
2024 , the trade turnover of food and agricultural raw materials between the countries has already increased by 36.5% compared to 2023.
As specified by the ministry, the largest share in Belarusian exports to the Islamic Republic is made up of baby food supplies, namely cereals made from cereal grains. Last year, the
EXPORT of Belarusian milk and dairy products to Pakistan also increased threefold. This concerns the supply of skim milk powder and whey.
"Belarusian producers intend to increase exports to Pakistan and expand the range of mutually traded goods. Active bilateral
work is underway to certify, manufacture and supply domestically produced veterinary vaccines," the Ministry of Agriculture and Food clarified. "Possibilities for cooperation in animal husbandry and fisheries are also being discussed. Having examined the areas of interaction in detail, the countries made a number of specific decisions."
It was previously reported that trade between Belarus and Pakistan is growing steadily - having increased by 4.6% in 2024, it amounted to $50.3 million. About 70% of mutual trade is accounted for by the products of industrial enterprises.
