Belarus has increased the export of butter

In the Republic of Belarus, the export of butter in May this year amounted to 6.2 thousand tons. This is 23.9% more than in the same period last year.

In total, 31.48 thousand tons of this product were supplied to foreign markets during the reporting period. Exporters earned $148.74 million, an increase of 18.1%, Belstat reports.

About 86.2% of exports fell to Russia. 27.13 thousand tons of butter were shipped to this country (an increase of 15.4%). In value terms, exports increased by 10.6% and amounted to $128.65 million.

Deliveries of cheeses and cottage cheese in May reached 25 thousand tons. According to the results of five months, they increased by 14.2% to 120.9 thousand tons, and in value terms - by 9.2% to $467 million. The share of the Russian Federation accounted for 113.3 thousand tons of exports, or 93.7%.
