6 June, MINSK . Belplemzhivobedinenie and the Livestock Breeding Department of Kyrgyzstan signed a memorandum of cooperation during a working meeting between Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Ivan Smilgin and the delegation of Kyrgyzstan that arrived in Belarus to participate in the international specialized exhibition Belagro-2025, BELTA learned from the press service of the agricultural department. 
The Kyrgyz delegation included Deputy DIRECTOR of the Veterinary, Livestock Breeding, Pastures and Forage Service under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Sharapov and representatives of the country's agricultural sector. The guests observed the work of Belarusian enterprises and organizations of the agro-industrial complex, took part in business meetings and negotiations.
According to the results of 2024 , the trade turnover of food products and agricultural raw materials between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan amounted to 108.9% of the previous year's level, exports - 119.7%. As noted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, growth was recorded in almost all key positions: MEAT and dairy products ( beef , poultry , butter , cheeses ), malt, fish products. The range of exports has also expanded - Belarusians began to ship dry whole MILK , semi-finished beef products, starch to the Central Asian country.
One of the important events of the visit of the Kyrgyz delegation to our republic, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between "Belplemzhivobedinenie" and the Department of Livestock Breeding of Kyrgyzstan, which took place within the framework of the forum, which opens up new opportunities for joint work on the development of livestock farming. The parties also noted the intensification of interaction in veterinary medicine and agricultural education.
In the future, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan intend to increase the volume of bilateral trade in the agricultural sector and expand the range of products supplied, develop relations in the field of agricultural education and science, deepen partnership in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, and continue to participate in joint exhibition and fair events.
As concluded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the meeting was held in a constructive and meaningful atmosphere and became an important step towards strengthening trade, economic, scientific and technical ties between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan in the agricultural sector.
