Bartosz: Our dairy and meat products are in demand in all corners of the world

September 23, MINSK . Our dairy and MEAT products are in demand in all corners of the world. Minister of Agriculture and Food Sergei Bartosh stated this on the TV channel , BELTA reports.

A two-day on-site republican seminar-meeting “On the development of livestock farming in the Republic of Belarus” was held in the Minsk region this week. The event was attended by about 300 people, including chairmen of district executive committees and heads of large agricultural enterprises, scientists . The HEAD of state took part in the plenary session of the seminar-meeting. The results of the work and strategies for the development of livestock industries, as well as their scientific support, were discussed. Special attention is paid to livestock farming in the regions of the country, its prospects using the example of specific enterprises.

“This topic cannot be called acute, but it is very important,” said Sergei Bartosh. “Today our dairy and meat products are in demand in all corners of the world, in demand in all foreign markets. This is not only the Russian market, but also the African and Chinese ". And, of course, we need to develop this direction. In fact, weekly meetings are held with Russian governors. They ask: let's work on dairy products, even to the point of opening trading houses and come and sell."

But for this, of course, it is necessary to increase production volumes. “The two-day seminar was primarily necessary to show how to produce products, what complexes should be in place,” the minister noted. “What needs to be paid attention to both in MILK production and in meat production. We also visited a feedlot, which is a little costs, but at the same time a large number of cattle ... Well, dairy complexes, to which the head of state pays special attention, because today it is the quality, volumes of milk, in addition to this, it is a reduction in the costs of its production."

The delegations visited leading agricultural enterprises in the Minsk region. At Novopolessky-Agro LLC and Belaruskali-Agro LLC, seminar participants got acquainted with the work of a new dairy complex for 2.4 thousand heads. OJSC Kozlovichi-Agro assessed the work of the Lesuny dairy complex. At JSC "Rechen" LLC "Belaruskali-Agro" the participants were shown technologies for raising heifers, and at JSC "Krasnodvortsy" they were told about the technological processes of milk production and the progress of construction of a new complex.

“We have enough farms like this. Most of these farms are in the Brest region. The Vitebsk region is lagging behind,” added Sergei Bartosh. “It is necessary to build in the Gomel and Mogilev regions. The Minsk region also needs to catch up, the Grodno region too. In fact, this is a step forward "In addition, we paid attention to the construction technology itself and to the milking parlors. What milking parlors should be like, what kind of premises there should be in order for the animals to feel comfortable. And as a result, this is, of course, the level of milk production."
