May 30 will limit the sale of alcohol. But not everywhere.

Already traditionally, during the events marking the end of the school year, Belarus restricts the sale of alcohol. This year, the celebration of the last calls was canceled, but restrictions on the sale of alcohol have been left. It's true, not everywhere.

 

May 30, in many regional and district centers the sale of alcohol will be limited. Alcohol will not be sold in shops from 8.00 May 30 to 8.00 May 31. The official reason is "holding events aimed at popularization of HAV, prevention of drunkenness and alcoholism".

 

Sale of alcohol will be limited in Brest, Mogilev, Gomel. But not in Hrodna, Vitsebsk and Minsk. However, in many areas of Minsk, Vitsebsk and Hrodna voblasts, the sale of alcohol will still be prohibited from 8.00 on May 30 to 8.00 on May 31.

 

Sobriety Day is a preventive anti-alcohol campaign, which lasts from 00.00 to 24.00. Alcohol on such days is sold only on the spill in catering establishments. It is believed that such campaigns help prevent alcoholism and promote a healthy lifestyle.

 

On May 29th and 30th the last calls are held in Belarusian schools - without traditional lines and festive events. According to TUT.BY, the Main Department of Education and Youth Policy of the Ministry of Education, this year the agency has recommended schools not to hold the last calls. Of the events at the end of the school year, experts explain, only the presentation of certificates will be organized.

 

The Department explained: it is possible to organize something for graduates in village schools or in schools of small towns, where only one small class each. But if it is a question of city schools where in parallels on four-five classes, plus on a holiday parents will come, - "it is already a mass event". It is not recommended to spend it in the department.

 

Next time the sale of alcohol will be limited on the day of graduation parties. It will be held in some regions on June 9, while in some regions, including Minsk, - June 10.
