Rostov Sausage Factory Taurus (Agrocom Group) supported the global environmental trend and paid tribute to the idea of ethical treatment of animals by releasing a line of analogues of MEAT products from vegetable raw materials under the ZEROMEAT brand.
The first batch of boiled sausage Veggie Extra based on wheat protein has already appeared in the stores of the company's distribution network. it consists of exclusively natural ingredients: sunflower seeds, thickeners of natural origin - polysaccharide from red algae carrageenan (E407) and konjac (E425), dextrose, spices and their extracts: onion, ginger, coriander, black pepper, nutmeg, flavors , soda, SALT and sunflower oil.
The taste, texture and appearance of Veggie Extra is identical to the traditional meat sausage. At the same time, the vegetable analogue compares favorably with its extremely low calorie content - only 150 kilocalories per 100 grams.
The design of new products was developed by the brand manager of the line. He set himself two main tasks: to convey to the consumer the emphasized modernity and natural composition of products and to create a brand-spot on the shelf among competitors' offers.
Products under the ZEROMEAT brand have been successfully tested both in the main target group (among vegetarians) and in the group of meat lovers. In the future, it is planned to develop the line, gradually supplementing with new positions.
