According to investigators, in August 2023, two men purchased a cow carcass from a subsidiary farm in the Paninsky district. Subsequently, they sold the MEAT to the current defendant in the criminal case. He, wanting to avoid additional costs of money and time, in violation of the requirements of veterinary legislation, did not require any veterinary accompanying documents from the sellers, and then, without confirmation of the safety of the meat by veterinarians, he sold it on the market in Voronezh. Later, anthrax was discovered in the confiscated meat samples. A quarantine was introduced in a separate area in the city , which required costs of more than 1.2 million rubles to carry out the necessary measures.

The accused admitted guilt and applied for consideration of the criminal case in a special manner. The criminal case has been transferred to COURT .

Earlier, in February 2024 , dangerous meat buyers Amil Asadov and Rovshan Rustamov were each sentenced to a year of forced labor. The criminal investigation against the owner of the farm is at the final stage. The case against the veterinarian who allowed the meat to be sold on the market has been brought to court.
