Infected beef from the Altai Territory was delivered to the security forces of Primorye

A large batch of low-quality MEAT was delivered to the power department from Primorsky Krai. ROSSELKHOZNADZOR specialists found violations in the samples.

The power structure regularly orders research from the Primorsky Interregional Veterinary Laboratory of products that it is going to feed its employees. The department is interested in the quality of food.

Samples were taken from a batch of beef weighing one ton, which arrived from the Altai Territory.

“As a result of the tests carried out in beef, E. coli bacteria (BGKP) and an excess of the general level of bacterial contamination (QMAFAnM) by 55 times were detected,” the laboratory found out.

Experts explained that undesirable microorganisms usually get from the intestines of the animal to the meat during the slaughter period. The bacterium will develop if the meat is not cut, stored and cooked properly. Product contamination could occur at any stage from the production workshop to the food warehouse.

Most often, E. coli is found in beef, minced meat and dairy products.
