This was announced by Deputy HEAD of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture Alexander Tyukavkin.

“The breeding farms of Transbaikalia have begun preparations for the Russian Sheep and Goat Exhibition. The best sheep and rams of the Trans-Baikal fine-fleece and Aginsk breeds, which are now kept in separate stalls, have been selected to participate in the upcoming event. The shepherds provide continuous care for them, feeding them the best hay and grain mixture,” said Alexander Tyukavkin.

Today, the readiness of the best exhibition animals is assessed by expert commissions, which include specialists from the regional Ministry of Agriculture, employees of municipal bodies of the agro-industrial complex and specialists from the veterinary service.

“We started work in the Mogoituy and Aginsky districts, where we carry out weighing, wool inspection, and vaccination status on farms. In general, all exhibition sheep are characterized by good coat and live weight. I am confident that in the remaining time before the Russian exhibition, our livestock breeders will make every effort to improve the MEAT and wool qualities of the exhibits, and the farms of Transbaikalia will once again claim the highest places,” said Alexander Tyukavkin.

Let us remind you that the second stage of the Russian exhibition of breeding sheep and goats will take place in Chita in the first ten days of June on the territory of the Megapolis Sport complex. The event participants are leading livestock breeding organizations from the regions of Siberia and the Far East.
